Description The DAB-I is an upper-level extension of the DAB-4 and is intended for use with adolescents. Both tests help the education professional evaluate students academic skills that relate to success in English-language arts and math. They can identify students who are significantly below their peers in basic academic skills, can reveal students strengths and weaknesses, and determine students progress in intervention programs.
The DAB-I has eight subtests:

The Spelling, Punctuation/Capitalization, and Math Calculation subtests can be administered either individually or to small groups. The DAB-I was normed on a nationally representative sample of 766 students. The Manual provides strong evidence for reliability and for content-description, criterion-prediction, and construct validity.
Administration and Scoring Test administration takes 60-90 minutes. Subtest scores can be converted to standard scores, percentile ranks, and age/grade equivalents, and are also combined to produce academic achievement composite scores for Spoken Language, Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Basic Academic Skills.
