Ross Information Processing Assessment-Primary (RIPA-P)
Author: Deborah Ross-Swain, EdD, CCC-SLP
- Information Processing
- Individual Administration
- Ages 5 through 12
- Norm-Referenced
- Qualification Level B
Description The RIPA-P is a valuable tool for speech pathologists, resource specialists, and special-education teachers for identifying information processing impairments in children with TBI or other conditions that affect information processing. It can be used as a full eight-subtest battery or only to target specific skills.
The RIPA-P was standardized on 115 individuals, including children with learning disabilities. Reliability coefficients were found to be .81 or above. Validity studies show that the test discriminates between neurotypical and LD or neurological problems.
Administration and Scoring Testing takes about 30 minutes, and results can be expressed as standard scores and percentile ranks.
