Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Test-2 (ADHDT-2)
Author: James E. Gilliam, PhD
Description The ADHDT-2 helps identify whether an individual has ADHD, based on the 2013 APA diagnostic criteria and DSM-5. With 33 items describing characteristic behaviors of individuals with ADHD, the ADHDT-2 yields results for two subscales: Inattention and Hyperactivity/Impulsivity. Both subscales and the ADHD Index have been empirically determined to be valid and sensitive for identifying ADHD.
This assessment was normed on a nationally representative sample of 1,591 individuals diagnosed with ADHD. Statistical analysis indicated high reliability and large or very large concurrent validity values with other diagnostic tests for ADHD. Diagnostic accuracy studies indicated that the ADHDT-2 is able to discriminate children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder from neurotypical children without ADHD.
Administration and scoring Test administration takes 35 minutes. Raw scores can be converted to standard scores, percentile ranks, severity levels, and probability that the individual has ADHD.
