Social Language Development Test - Elementary: Normative Update (SLDT-E:NU)
Authors: Linda Bowers, MA, CCC-SLP / Rosemary Huisingh, CCC-SLP / Carolyn M. LoGiudice, CCC-SLP
Description The SLDT-E:NU is intended to be used by professionals familiar with language disorders to identify children with poor social interaction. Its four subtests assess language-based responses to portrayed peer-to-peer situations, ability to infer and express what another person is thinking or feeling in a social context, make multipleinterpretations, take mutual perspectives, and negotiate with and support peers. This version updates norms based on the 2015 U.S. Census, along with recalculated standard scores and additional studies confirming validity and reliability. The SLDT-E:NU was standardized on a nationally representative sample, including students with autism spectrum disorder.
Administration and Scoring Test administration takes about 45 minutes. Raw scores may be converted to standard scores, percentile ranks, and age equivalents.
