The software comes with a help file and tutorial document you can access directly from the installation cd (in Adobe Acrobat 6.0 format and in simple text format) or, after installation, from within the program. This has some helpful information about issues you might experience in using the program.
Most potential problems with installation and use of this program have been solved, but if you do have a problem, you might be able to solve it by making sure that you have:

administrative permission to install programs (on shared computers)

up-to-date Microsoft Windows operating system (especially for users of the Windows XP operating system – see www.update.microsoft.com for information)
Some computers may have missing or damaged components that are needed to install database programs like the Expressive-Receptive Scoring Software. While we believe we have addressed this potential difficulty for customers by rewriting the installer to update the needed files, some users may receive an error code about dao350.dll, dao360.dll, or another similar component.
If you receive such a message, download the file fix2000andXP.bat below, and run the installer embedded in it by double-clicking the icon where you installed it and following onscreen directions.
If you still have difficulty, please contact the software developer, whose email is listed in the help and tutorial document that came with your program.
